ABOUT

Susan Woodman Buoys

"The inspiration of ideas and the beauty of forms leads to creating compelling visual imagery."

My paintings reflect the simplicity of form and richness of color that I see in nature's landscapes and my interest in folk art and craft. Primarily working in oil and acrylic, I enjoy interpreting the landscape. Raised in New England, I attended college in Oregon and Colorado and also lived in New Mexico with works reflective of the cultures and landscapes from these travels. I presently live and paint in Cape Ann, Massachusetts.

ANIMATION

I enjoy planning and creating animations and the environments within them. There is a playfulness to seeing inanimate objects come alive and carry movement in a created 3D world. My experience includes modeling, texturing, animating, lighting and rendering.

DESIGN

My experience includes dual talent as a Design Project Manager directing projects through all developmental stages from initial concept to final product and as a Designer creating engaging visual design for print including children's educational books, trade books, and business materials. As a creative thinker with strong conceptual skills, I enjoy bringing new ideas to any project to produce successful visual solutions that communicate ideas with stunning clarity.
